About Rachel Einhaus
“My brain, I believe, is the most beautiful part of my body.”Shakira singer/songwriter
I am a research assistant on a current galactic space radiation study that teams up with NASA, Brookhaven, and the University of Irvine Medical School looking into spatial navigation and other behaviors. I also assist with an Alzheimer’s research study that contributes to the cholinergic hypothesis, which means that there is dysfunctional acetylcholine neurotransmitter in the brain. This contributes to deficits in cognitive function, motor function and more. I feel information is important for people to have access to and have the ability to understand current research progressions. I plan to bridge the gap and facilitate information transportation. I am a student at Northern Illinois University. I have had the opportunity to give research poster presentations of research and have received one “excellence in poster presentation” award.
